Avant Apres

The client had a light-filled duplex apartment newly renovated and painted white.  While we like white, our mission was to add warmth, texture and functional storage.

We treated a six metre wall and fireplace that spanned the living room, using a mottled grey render to give the space a less finished patina.

We used solid brass strips to create new skirting boards and continued the brass trim around and into the fireplace.

For storage we mounted mirrored Kai Kristiansen boxes on the wall and added an exterior wall light created in the 1930s for the Copenhagen's Kastrup airport.  To complete the look we added a pair of Alvar Aalto hallway chairs and an Ercol divan
