This suspension lamp is known the Louisiana Pendel as it was designed by the Danish architect Jørgen Bo for the Louisiana gallery, a building which itself is considered a major work of Danish modernist architecture.

The lamp comprises a  copper dome (diameter 40 centimetres) with a white concentric light diffuser.   Works best as a task lamp above a desk or dining table.

This brushed steel pendant lamp was designed by French designer, Henri Mathieu, for the Danish lighting group, Lyfa, in 1970.  The lamp looks slightly different from each viewing angle and different again when illuminated as the interior is lacquered pink.
